The NFL experts at SharpSportBetting.com (SSB) are all doing well this season. StevieY, who has done well at all sports for SSB over the years, is 28-17-2 overall, of which the part that applies to the regular season is 25-8-1. Overlay, who picks NFL and NBA for SSB and has done well at both ever since signing on as a host, is 24-23, of which the part that applies to the regular season is 22-16. Goats, who was selected to host NFL on SSB this season based on three solid seasons of picks, is 17-3-1, all of which are regular-season games. These five games are part of this week's host selections on SSB. The first-named team is the pick.

San Diego -6 vs New Orleans. Goats says: "Public still refuses to believe San Diego is a good team. The Chargers should be able to score at will on the Saints' D, or lack there of. I'm still waiting for a San Diego line to come up that I don't find value in, but it's not this week, should be 7."

San Francisco +6.5 vs Seattle. StevieY says: "Seattle has done nothing since beating SF 34-0 five weeks ago. SF has been competitive in every game but that one this year, especially at home. Seattle has St Louis on their mind in a must win for them next week and will play like it."

Miami -3 vs Arizona. Overlay says: "Arizona now 0 for 18 or so on the road last three years. Two trips across the county and offense that can't score. Miami not as bad a they looked Monday night."

Indianapolis -6 vs Minnesota. Goats says: "Two overrated teams with defensive problems, but I still consider Indy to be the significantly better team with Moss likely out and Mewelde Moore trying to recover from a sprained ankle. This line will probably steam on Monday."

Chicago +9.5 at NY Giants. Overlay says: "Always tough to back teams with rookie quarterbacks but this is simply too many points. Giants have won a lot of games because of turnover differential. Turnovers tend to even out over the long season."

Some six months ago a friend of mine suggested I pick up a rather intriguing book, to use as reference material for my Sunday selections. The irony of this of course is that it is my competitor for this weekend, Stanford Wong's "Sharp Sports Betting" book. For those of you that have read it, you will recall he references the Two Minute Warning Website, for its valuable insight, and well, that is how I have landed here. I must say between Stanford's book and the information that Roland and his staff have provided at Two Minute Warning, it has made the first half a more profitable year and certainly more enjoyable.

Well, hopefully I can represent your neighbors to the north proudly and use this as a springboard for a successful following weekend, in my annual trip to Vegas. If you are at the Rio, that weekend, we'll see you Sunday at the sports book. Let us begin.

    1) In the battle of Pennsylvania, I find it hard not to go with the home team, after a very spirited performance versus the Patriots. Normally, you might be able to catch the Steelers in a let down, but with their inter state rival coming to town, I expect a solid effort by Pittsburgh, leading to a victory. Duce going up against his old team, the return of Kendrell Bell and with Westbrook banged up, the Steelers will continue their roll.
    PITTSBURGH +1.5

    2) Need to take a page out of my competitors book and quote the revenge factor in this game. Ravens are usually very tough at home and after the Browns laid a licking on them in the opening week, I expect Baltimore to bounce back soundly this week. I would feel even better if Ogden can suit up for this game, as he is an integral part to protecting Boller and the running game of Jamal Lewis. With Jamal returning this week and a Sunday night tilt for the nation to watch, I'm strong on the Ravens.
    BALTIMORE -6

    3) A difficult spot to be in here, taking a team that has been winless on the road for what seems like....... forever, but I do like the Cards at +3. The Fish collapsed in the second half on Monday night and again took another hit with Seau out for the year. There are not many occasions that I can recall where a Denny Green squad puts out flat performances back to back weeks, so I will take the points on the road.
    ARIZONA +3

    4) Jim Haslett off a bye is 3-1. They have a red hot Chiefs squad on deck, so they know the importance of this game against the Chargers. Marty has the boys playing superb, off a whipping of their rivals the Raiders. Brees has turned everyone's head in the last month and McCardell and Parker have been of huge assistance to him. I think this comes down to a field goal, at the end of the shoot out. I'll take the Saints.
    NEW ORLEANS +6

    5) Let me start this last pick by saying, I am fully convinced, we all " have them". One team that you say, I am just not convinced they are as good as what the public perceives them to be. For me it is the Broncos. They just haven't impressed me this year, despite their record. I like the way Houston is playing, with their talented receivers and the leadership that Carr has shown this year. Personally, I am thrilled they won back to back games, earlier this year, cause his poor father had the worst mullet I have ever seen. Back to business though, with Lynch now added to the injury list, that just further cements my pick. HOUSTON +6

Best of luck and I hope to see you for the next round. Until then!!!
